Our Mission
Ornaments for Officers, a not-for-profit project, will raise funds for the families of police and firemen who have fallen or are disabled in the line of duty through sales of donated Christmas ornaments at participating businesses. All proceeds benefit Backstoppers
How It Works
Individuals and companies will donate new and vintage ornaments, which will be sorted and distributed to participating businesses, along with a spiral artificial Christmas tree. Participating businesses will receive 500 ornaments initially, which will sell for $3.00 regardless of the original price. At least $2.00 per ornament sold will be donated to an organization or trust to assist the families of fallen officers. The remaining $1.00 will cover administrative costs and non-donated items.
Goals
Create an annual fundraiser for the families of fallen and disabled police and firefighters.
Generate $1,000 per participating business through the sale of donated ornaments.
Raise $10,000 in the first few years as a pilot program.
In three years to have 50 businesses participate, raising $50,000 for the families.
